  Drawing Class   Instructor:  Robin Huttash   

Wednesday Morning Class
Dates:  Meets every Wednesday morning   Time:  10 - 11:30 am

In this class we will work on drawing skills through creative drawing exercises, drawing from still life and drawing from photographs.  Along with building basic drawing skills, we will study value and it's use in shading, drawing with accurate proportions, and creating a good composition.  As this class builds, introduction of a variety of mediums will be included.  Students will need to bring a sketchbook (12 x 14 or 16 x 20), drawing pencils, white eraser and kneaded eraser to first class.  Join anytime.  ($20 per lesson) 

 

  Acrylic and Mixed Media Painting                      Instructor:  Robin Huttash   

Tuesday Evening Class:  March, 7th, 14th and 21st
Dates:     (3 weeks)  Time:  7 - 9:00 pm

Whether a beginner or an experienced painter, this class will work on building your general painting skills while working with acrylic paints. Techniques in paint application along with use of a variety of acrylic mediums will be explored. We will also discuss using mixed media to enhance your paintings. Students will need two 12” x 12” canvases. All other supplies provided.     Cost: $85 plus $5 supply fee  (All supplies included except for canvas.    Bring 2 12" x 12" canvas.)  

 

Watercolor Batik Workshop

Saturday morning Workshop, March 25, 9:30 am - 12:30

Learn a new technique of painting using the watercolor batik method.   This process is similar to the age old technique where melted wax is applied to fabric as a resist and then the fabric is dipped in dye.   In watercolor Batik the wax is applied to rice paper and paints are used to add the color.  The process gives a beautiful one of a kind batik painting.  All supplies and tools included in price of workshop.  $35


 

  Paint your Pet

Instructor:  Robin Huttash

Thursdays  7 - 9 pm                                                                  

Dates:    March 23rd, 30th, and April 6                                             

In this 3 session class you will learn to draw and paint your pet.  We will start with basic fast drawings looking at body construction and work our way up to a finished pet portrait.  You will need several photos of your pet, a sketchpad and pencils for sketching.  For painting you will need a 12 x 12 inch or a 12 x 16 canvas.  Acrylic paint and paint brushes will be provided.  This class will neet on Thursday morning, 10 - 12 noon.  Call the studio to sign up.      Cost: $ 75

  Technique Tuesday

January 27th, February 3, 10th and 17th

Learn the basics of stained glass in this fun make a suncatcher class.  We will be making a stained glass abstract using the Tiffany Method of stained glass. You will learn to cut glass, wrap in copper foil and then solder.  Be aware that you will be working with sharp objects and a hot soldering iron.    Cost:  $35, all supplies included.   

 

    Beginning Watercolor Class

Tuesday Evenings (3 sessions)

Dates:    Tuesday evenings  April 4, 11 , 18th

 Time:   7 - 9:30 pm

Want to watercolor but don't know where to start?  In this 3 week class you will learn about paints, brushes, paper and techniques of painting with watercolor.  You will explore two techniques of painting, painting in layers and  Wet on Wet,   Students will need to purchase supplies and paper which is sold at the studio.   Cost:  $85 for 3 lessons.  Bring your watercolors and brushes and any other supplies that you already have.  $85 for 3 sessions.

  Make an Heart Stained Glass Suncatcher

Sunday afternoon     February 1st or February 8th   Time:  2 - 5 pm         
Just in time for Valentine's day.  Come create a unique Heart-shaped stained glass suncatcher for yourself or that special person in this 3 hour Sunday afternoon class.  Learn the basics of stained glass in this fun make a suncatcher workshop.  You will learn to cut glass and solder using the tiffany method and  Leave the class with your finished project. All supplies and tools provided.  

Cost: $35       Date:  Sunday, February 1st   2 – 5 pm or February 8th, 2 - 5 pm

   Soldered Necklace Workshop    Instructor:  Robin Huttash

Sunday Afternoon, January 29th, 2:30 - 12:30

Learn to make a one of a kind soldered necklace pendant using glass and soldering techniques.  In this class you will create a simple collage to use in your necklace pendant and then embellish with solder techniques.  Cost  $25  (includes supplies and use of tools)

 

  Beginning Stained Glass Class    Instructor:  Robin Huttash

Starts Saturday Morning, Feb 18th, 9:30 - 12:30

Learn the basics of stained glass using the Tiffany or copperfoil method.  In this 6 weeks class, students will make a small suncatcher and constrct a small glass panel.  Learn how to cut glass, solder metals and build a simple metal frame for the panel.  Characteristics of glass will also be discussed.  Student will need to purchase supplies for the small glass panel.  Glass supplies are available at the studio.  Cost:  Tuition:  $150 plus student will need to purchase supplies for second project.  This will vary depending on size of project and colors of glass.  Saturday mornings:  Feb  18, 25  March 4, 11th  18th and 25th
